Chervil is similar to parsley but with more of a light, licoricey flavour. It's indispensible to French cooking, though little-used elsewhere, unless as a garnish. It might be time for that to change, though. Its light sweetness makes it perfectly suited to flavouring chicken, omelettes and vegetables. It's one of the herbs in the French mixture fines herbes.
