Aleppo chiles (sometimes known as halaby peppers) are named after the region in northern Syria where they grow. They have a moderate heat level and a wonderful, complex, fruity flavour. We only carry crushed Aleppos, and since they add such a versatile, all-purpose heat, you can use them anywhere you would use other red chile flakes for extra depth and excellent flavour.
