Smoked Maldon Sea Salt – why did it take them this long? The Maldon Crystal Salt Company has been making their famous sea salt in Essex, England since 1882, and they’ve just recently launched a naturally smoked version. It has the same distinctive, pyramid-shaped crystals of the regular Maldon Sea Salt, but with a delicate smoky flavour.
Maldon Smoked Sea Salt is smoked using oak and a special blend of hardwoods from sustainable sources. It’s great on shellfish and meats, and in sauces, soups and marinades.
