We like this grinder a lot for herbs. It is great at grinding delicate things like lavender, rose petals and basil. It also works well for small seeds like sesame seeds, as it will grind them into a powder without going too far and turning them into a paste. However it does not have a particularly powerful motor, so we don't recommend it for hard spices.

This grinder has a nice, large capacity, and the best part is the removable, dishwasher-safe, stainless steel bowl and blade. This makes it much easier to clean than one-piece grinders. It also comes with a plastic cap so you can store extra ground spices right in the grinding bowl.
